ELEGY 2: Hai Di Lao Yue

Collaborating with Arch. Ferdinand Isidro De La Paz based on the algorithm of one wail by mathematician Dr. Charlotte Decena, a conceptual bridge between Heaven and Earth was built of cloth and hoops twisted and collapsed into a two-dimensional display viewed in the UST Main Lobby for one week.

The performance of the majong move of pulling an impossible feat (get the moon from the bottom of the ocean) unraveled the object installation into a tunnel which the performer attempted to enter to meet the beloved accompanied by the intermittent sound of a drum played by Tusa Montes.
